Payment and Shipping
Special Shipping Rates until August 30, 2010
Sabys is currently subsidizing shipping costs to North America, Europe, and Japan. Orders over 100 Euro in value receive a 50% discount, and orders over 200 Euro have free shipping (as calculated based upon current exchange rates). These discounts are pre-calculated and are reflected in the rates that you see when you checkout in the shopping cart.
Payment
We allow you to shop and make payments in 6 international currencies: Euro, US dollar, British Pound, Japanese Yen, Canadian dollar and Swedish Krona (this last one for all of our good friends in Sweden). On all of our shopping pages that display our products, you'll see a currency selector in the top left part of the web page. Simply change it to your preferred currency and you'll see the prices calculated in that currency. Your shipping costs and totals will be in this currency as well. There is no markup or conversion fee from the total amount – your credit card will be charged the amount shown in the currency that you select.
Sabys uses Paypal to process your payment. Paypal allows you to pay with all major credit cards, as well as with a Paypal account if you prefer. During the checkout process, you will enter your billing and shipping address information on our website, verify your items and totals, and then be redirected to the Paypal website which will allow you to pay with a credit card or paypal account. We want to assure you that even though we are using Paypal to provide secure financial transactions, you do not need a Paypal account, you can make payments with any major credit card
Please note that your charge will appear on your statement as PAYPAL SAMM S.R.L. -- SAMM S.R.L. is the Italian corporate name for our business enterprises.
Shipping
Did you know all of our gourmet food is shipped directly to you from our store in Rome? Yes it costs more to ship this way but with Saby’s everything arrives to you fresh direct from Italy! Because of the high volume and turnover in our store, we don't have product gathering dust or sitting for long times in containers or on warehouse shelves getting stale, as can happen with some online retailers or even food shops in other countries.
We ship via DHL Express to everywhere in the world, and you can also elect to use Bartolini for ground shipments in Europe. All of our products are shipped to you direct from our retail store on Via Tritone in Rome. We strive to keep our shipping costs as low as possible, and we have negotiated large discounts with our shipping carriers. We charge only our actual shipping costs and provide packing and handling free of charge.
You will receive a tracking number with your invoice when your order ships. You can use this tracking number on the carrier's website to track the progress of your shipment.
